In the early morning, one of our professional guides will pick you up at your hotel to proceed to Hpa-an. In the midway town Thaton, we make a short sightseeing at famous Shwesaryan Pagoda. After that we will visit Kaw-gun cave which has numerous small Buddha stuccos on the side walls and Yathaepyancave which lines on the cliff of a rocky mountain. Afterward continue to Hpa-an, the eastern-banked town which is the capital of the Kayin State. Sightseeing is at the base of the Hill Zwekabin where 1000 Buddhas statues in sitting position are placed, a placid spot Kyauk-ka-lab with a monastery and the downtown Shwe-yin-myaw pagoda. Overnight at the resort Zwekabin.
After the morning check-out of the hotel, drive out to Mawlamyine by car. Firstly, observe the main market of Mawlamyine, the capital of Mon state.Secondly, visit the Pa-auk monastery in the dense rubber forest to have a deep look on a monk’s life and the library of Buddhism. Then proceed to Myaing Gone village to see the biggest reclining Buddha in the world, first. It’s the hollow structure in which people can walk and see around sculptors depicting the life of Buddha and moral stories of Buddhism. In the afternoon, we will make downtown sightseeing for old colonial buildings and visit nunnery school of Queen Sein Done, one of the queens of King Mindon the penultimate king of Myanmar. In the evening, visit KyeikThalan Pagoda which famous as the Kipling’s pagoda on top of the hill. Enjoy the panoramic view of the city and beautiful sunset at there.
After breakfast, drive out of Mawlamyine heading towards Bago for half day sightseein. On the way, the tradition of offering alms to monks in quarters can often be seen. After lunch, observe the Shwe-maw-daw pagoda, the tallest stupa in Southeast Asia, the palace site of the 16th century king Bayint-naung who could even influence Thailand, Shwe-thar-lyaung pagoda with the 55m long reclining Buddha and Kyaik-pon pagoda with 4 seated Buddhas. Then back to Yangon for overnight. On your arrival at your hotel in Yangon, it will be at the end of the wonderful trip with us. gon.
